Oberbozen sits high on the Ritten Plateau, right by Bolzano. You’ll be in the heart of South Tyrol, perfectly situated to head off on countless hikes and excursions. Getting here is just as easy:
Arrival by Car
Take the Brenner highway and exit at Bolzano Nord, then follow signs towards Bolzano city center and Ritten. After about 1 km, you’ll reach a roundabout—take the road towards Ritten. Another kilometer on, turn right onto the mountain road, which will take you up to Oberbozen after another 14 km. Drive into the village center and turn left at the intersection before the Weissensteiner butcher shop. Just 50 meters later, Bella Posta will be on the left, at the edge of the village, heading towards Maria Himmelfahrt.
Arrival by Train
From the north, you can reach Bolzano in less than four hours with the EC from Munich, running several times a day. The Railjet (departing daily at 15:30 from Vienna, with stops in St. Pölten, Linz, Salzburg, and Innsbruck) connects Vienna to Bolzano in about seven hours. Coming from the south, you can make use of the Italian Frecce Rosse railway network, which is surprisingly well organized.

Arrival by Plane
The South Tyrolean airline Skyalps offers firect flights to Bolzano from London, Berlin, Kassel, Antwerp, Hannover, Hamburg and Düsseldorf several times a week. Flight time is a maximum of 2 hours. Regular bus transfers to South Tyrol are available from the nearest international airports in Munich, Innsbruck, Verona, Brescia, and Milan. You can find all the bus transfer info here.
